White Pollock is a member of the Gadoid/Gadidae family. It is most commonly found in the coastal seabeds and rocky bottoms in depths of up to 150m, often found living in ship wrecks. A member of the cod family found throughout the waters around Ireland, this whitefish species is a great-tasting fish. Pollock fillets are an excellent choice for battering and deep frying, and can be a great option for use in hearty fish stews or curries.
